Who's ya daddy???
Well, MY daddy is an entrepreneur, and one of the funniest people I know. One day he called and said, "You remember that old, old story about the li'l Indian boy that met up with the tigers in the jungle? The one MawMaw used to read to me?"
"Yes. And?"
"I think we should update it. And Cajun-ize dat. You know, with an '-eaux'? And by 'we', I mean 'you'!"
I agreed. I drew up a draft and we laughed and laughed. Then he called his sister.
"You remember that old story about the li'l Indian boy and the tigers...?"
"Sure. And?" she said.
"Well, we're gonna Cajun-ize it! And I think we need to draw up some colorful illustrations to accompany it. And by 'we', I mean 'you'!"
So she drew, and I wrote, and we talked, and we laughed and laughed. Then we repeated the process....
I think my dad always wanted to add "curator" to his bucket list. And now he has. (Mais, Gardez Donc!)
